KEY PLAY
Hard to pick a turning point in a preseason game what with the constant turnover of personnel, so we'll go with a third-and-one conversion by the Als with just over a minute left that kept the clocking moving and protected their lead.
KEY PLAYER
Running back Lavarus Giles didn't just jump off the page, he LEAPED off in a single bound. His 77-yard TD run in the first half was highlight-reel stuff and he did something special every time he touched the ball. Finished the night with 161 yards on 12 carries.
KEY STAT
The Bombers rumbled for 220 yards along the ground after compiling 141 yards a week ago. Giles did his thing and was helped along by Yvenson Bernard. Interestingly, all this was done with both Fred Reid and Joe Smith not lugging the ball once in the preseason.
Next game:
Game 1: @ Edmonton, Thursday, July 2nd, 8 p.m. (TSN/CJOB)
