Blue Bomber Report Record: 6–12–0
Winnipeg Free Press - PRINT EDITION
Critical numbers
3,009
The number of all-purpose yards this season tallied by Toronto Argonauts receiver Chad Owens as of the late in the third quarter Saturday. With his 17-yard third-quarter punt return, Owens became the first pro player to amass at least 3,000 combined yards in three seasons. It is his third straight 3,000-plus season. The "Flyin' Hawaiian" is on pace to hit 4,000 combined yards.
101-21
The margin by which Winnipeg has been outscored in the first quarter of its 13 games so far in 2012. The score after 15 minutes Saturday night was 21-0.
779
The number of days since Argonauts quarterback Jarious Jackson last had a start in a CFL game (Aug. 12, 2010 with B.C. Lions). No rust here -- he picked apart Winnipeg's defence on his team's first possession of the game with a 15-play drive that he capped with a one-yard touchdown run.
7
Turnovers by the Blue Bombers Saturday night. Toronto scored a touchdown and field goal off those turnovers -- the first-quarter pick-six by Marcus Ball and Swayze Waters' 23-yard third quarter field goal after Waters recovered Winnipeg's third fumble of the game.
