Credentials: Earned a varsity letter in 2009 after appearing in seven games, including four starts. Saw his first action at Washington State against SMU, then started the next three games at left tackle against USC, Oregon and Arizona State. Has had major surgery on both shoulders but is presently healthy.

Credentials: Registered a solid 594 yards and four touchdowns on 31 receptions while averaging 84.9 receiving yards per game in 2011. Aprile averaged 36.5 yards per return with two touchdowns, a CIS best. Aprile ran a 4.61 in the 40-yard dash at evaluation camp.

School: Georgia State University
Ht.: 6-5; Wt.: 290
Born: Dec. 13, 1989, Angola
Credentials: Chosen in the sixth round (189th overall) of the NFL draft by the Oakland Raiders, so he won't be in Winnipeg for awhile, if ever. Big, physical defensive end with speed and reach. Could be a star if he ever gets to the CFL. Two-year starter with 10 career sacks, a GSU record.

Position: Linebacker
School: Harding University
Ht.: 6-1; Wt.: 225
Born: May 7, 1988, St. Catharines, Ont.
Credentials: Attended Harding University after transferring from De Anza Junior College in 2009. Recorded 145 total tackles between the two schools as well as 4.5 sacks and nine tackles for loss. Named a first team all-conference linebacker while at De Anza.

JAKE THOMAS
Position: Defensive end
School: Acadia
Ht.: 6-2; Wt.: 270
Born: Dec. 16, 1990, Douglas, N.B.
Credentials: Played in all eight games last season and finished second in the AUS conference with nine sacks and was named a second-team All Canadian for his efforts. The two-time AUS all-star played for Team Canada at the 2011 IFAF World Championship in Austria and won a silver medal.
