Defensive back Jonathan Hefney will be ready on Sunday.
Blue injury update
Winnipeg special teams ace Shawn Gallant didn't work out on Thursday and is listed as questionable for Sunday. DBs Jovon Johnson and Jonathan Hefney both watched practice in their civvies but they're expected to be cleared and ready for Sunday. Receiver Terrence Edwards, running back Fred Reid, guard Ryan Donnelly and receiver Brock Ralph all have injuries but all will play. Receiver Adarius Bowman, who missed last weekend with a concussion or a knee injury, depending on who you ask, will be in the lineup.
Tiger-Cats are healthy
"Everyone's on the field and everyone's practising. It's great because we need everyone healthy to get in the playoffs and take it from there," head coach Marcel Bellefeuille told Hamilton Spectator football writer Drew Edwards.
"Everyone's going to play with nicks and bruises this time of year because they want to contribute."
The only regular not in action was safety Sandy Beveridge, who will be back at practice today and could play Sunday.
Selling Saskatchewan
The Roughriders host the Calgary Stampeders on Saturday with first place in the West Division on the line and the game is expected to sell out.
"They will be sold out before game time,'' head coach Ken Miller told the Leader-Post. "That's the important thing, because we want our crowd to be as big as it can be.''
CBA stuff
The league's collective bargaining agreement with the players union is due to expire prior to training camp next season and the Bombers held a brief union meeting following practice on Thursday.
Player rep Doug Brown stood in the middle of a circle of players at midfield and gave them an update on negotiations. Items expected to be on the agenda are player salaries, a drug testing policy, medical benefits, training camp duration and a change to the import/non-import ratio, with one more American to be allowed on the roster.
Kelly's quote
When asked about making up with Barrin Simpson when it appeared the two were headed for divorce: "I've been in that situation before so I have experience. I had no desire to give another house away."
