JUSTIN GOLTZ, ON GIVING RUNNING BACK CHAD SIMPSON MORE CARRIES THAN ANY OTHER GAME THIS YEAR:

"Chad can be the heart of this offence, and I think he was a catalyst for us in the first half, no doubt... in the second half, we didn't necessarily establish the run game as well as we'd like."

GOLTZ, ON THE PERSISTENT BELIEF THAT THIS TEAM IS ABOUT TO TURN A PAGE:

"We're on the cusp, and everybody knows it, but we can't sit here and say that every week. There needs to be a full four-quarter football game put together in order for us to win."

COACH TIM BURKE, ON THE SAME:

"I really do believe we're on the cusp... I just ask everybody to give us patience. I think we're really close."

BURKE ON WIDE RECEIVER CHRIS MATTHEWS:

"He's a good player and we've missed him and he helped us tonight, for sure."

BURKE ON SIMPSON:

"I would like to have seen us pop a couple of big runs but it just didn't happen. But I think we averaged five yards a carry or more. That's not all bad."

CHAD SIMPSON:

"We just can't give up. Everybody can't get down on themselves. Us as leaders have to step it up. We're one yard away, one play away. We've got to make some catches, I've got to break some tackles. We're close. This game was a good deal to build off of."

MORE SIMPSON:

"When your number's called and you're running out of time and you need it on third down, like that third and two, I (should have made it). It's little things."

ALEX HALL:

"We wanted to win. We played better, I feel we played better as a team but the challenges we faced coming into this game, well, B.C. was a good team and we knew we had to bring our A game. We fell short but I felt we played better as a team."

GOLTZ, ON THE LIONS' VETERAN SECONDARY THAT HELPED SPOIL HIS FRUITLESS SECOND HALF:

"Nothing came easy in the second half for us. They (the Lions defence) did a good job stepping up their game... Those guys have all played together for a long time, and they've seen just about everything there is to see in the CFL."

BURKE, ON THE FACT THE BOMBERS COUGHED IT UP FOUR TIMES:

"We have to do a better job with turnovers, but I was happy we were able to create a couple as well, which we haven't in the last two games. I told the guys we are this close to getting over the hump, and when we do things are really going to start happening great for us."

MORE GOLTZ ON SIMPSON, WHO HAD 19 CARRIES FOR 83 YARDS:

"I think he did a great job for us. We established the run and we were able to move the ball early and I think that co-incided with us being successful in the first half."

BURKE ON GIVING B.C. GREAT FIELD POSITION:

"I thought we were better. They were really hanging in the third quarter. I mean, B.C. had great field position the whole third quarter. But sooner or later you can't stop a good team from scoring if they get great field position.

"And they finally did. We played a lot better as far as the defence and the secondary certainly played better than they had."
