BOMBERS STARTING QB JUSTIN GOLTZ, WHEN HE WAS INFORMED AFTER THE GAME HIS OFFENCE MUSTERED JUST 23 YARDS TOTAL OFFENCE IN THE FIRST HALF:
"That's not cool."
BOMBERS DEFENSIVE TACKLE BRYANT TURNER, WHO HAD TWO OF HIS TEAM'S 8 SACKS OF SASKATCHEWAN QB DARIAN DURANT:
"The DBs covered their butts off today. Every sack is accountable to the DBs because they didn't give up nothing today. I love 'em. I love 'em."
BOMBERS HEAD COACH TIM BURKE ON HIS SECONDARY:
"I give a lot of credit to the secondary that I'm usually bashing. They did a really good job of playing man coverage. They did a really good job of blitzing."
BURKE ON FINALLY SNAPPING A SEVEN-GAME LOSING STREAK:
"There's a sense of relief and obviously I'm pretty excited. I'm really happy for the guys that they could get this win and I'm happy for the fans that they could get this win...I can't tell you how excited I am."
BURKE ON WHETHER HE CONSIDERED LIFTING GOLTZ AFTER THE FIRST HALF:
"No because the problems weren't just Justin's problems. We weren't blocking really well up front..."
BURKE ON HIS PLANS FOR THE ESKIMOS NEXT WEEK:
"Obviously, we'll be trying to get after the quarterback in Edmonton. And we'll do it by hook or by crook if we have to."
BOMBERS TAILBACK WILL FORD ON HIS 98-YARD KICKOFF RETURN FOR A TD IN THE FIRST QUARTER:
"It was a great job up front by the boys on the kickoff return team. I mean, they made a seam and I just ran through it. It wasn't me -- it was the return team."
MORE FROM FORD:
"It was big -- early in the game and the first TD of the game to get things started. I think it gave us a little bit of a boost. It gave us confidence that we could come out and dominate and win."
BOMBERS CENTRE JUSTIN SORENSON ON HOW SOMETIMES A WIN IS MORE THAN JUST A WIN:
"This is huge for us. For one, it's Banjo Bowl and that's so important for everybody -- players and fans. And second, what is that a (seven-game) losing streak? And to get a win off what's supposed to be the best team in the league, that's big for everyone."
SORENSON ON WHETHER SUNDAY'S WIN CAN TURN WINNIPEG'S SEASON AROUND:
"I think so. That's a great team we just played and we beat them. So why can't we do that to other teams?"
BOMBERS LINEBACKER IAN WILD, WHO HAD SIX TACKLES, A SPECIAL TEAMS TACKLE AND A SACK, ON WHAT WENT SO RIGHT FOR THE BOMBERS DEFENCE AGAINST WHAT HAD BEEN A DOMINATING SASKATCHEWAN OFFENSIVE LINE UNTIL SUNDAY:
"I think the difference is they were doing the same thing they're always doing and we were watching film and we knew what they were doing. And we had an answer for them...I think we might have (won the game in the film room). We definitely prepared well."
