Ties that bind
Lots of Stamps have Winnipeg connections... if you're unsure who to cheer for
TORONTO -- Most CFL fans in Winnipeg will have their reasons for cheering for one team or the other in Sunday's 100th Grey Cup. But in case you're undecided and looking to have a horse in the race, consider the degrees of separation between the Blue Bombers and the Toronto Argonauts and Calgary Stampeders.
By our count, the Stampeders have a decided Winnipeg flavour with 16 members of the organization having ties to the Bombers or the city, while the Argos have just two players with a Blue Bomber connection.
