Today's Bomber Report
New QB
The Bombers added import quarterback Adam DiMichele to the practice roster on Thursday. DiMichele played QB at Temple University in Philadelphia and caught coach Mike Kelly's eye this spring at a Philadelphia Eagles tryout. DiMichele had been on the Calgary Stampeders' practice roster this season.
Willis and Hunt in
Import defensive ends Odell Willis and Phillip Hunt will dress for the Bombers on Saturday. "Willis has come in here and impressed right off the bat. He hasn't missed a beat. It's the old adage: You trade for players that play well against you, and he's had good games against us," Kelly said.
Emry fined for Edwards hit
Montreal linebacker Shea Emry was fined $750 by the CFL for his hit on Blue Bomber receiver Terrence Edwards Sept. 20. Emry, who was not suspended for his actions, clobbered Edwards away from the play with a blind-side hit. Edwards will miss Sunday's game due to a concussion.

Mr. McGoo I can't stop laughing. You have brought me joy before we take on what will be another embarasing moment in Bomberville. My prediction is as follows. The Bombers will once again find a new way to loose. This weeks excuse by Kelly will be his plan has not yet been understood by his latest aquisisions. Trades everyone for nothing. No QB's no receivers, what's next a defensive trade. Brown for a faster water boy to keep our defensive dozen hydrated while our offensive offense continues their pathetic attempt at mastering POP Warner play books. I'm bringing a book to read at the game. Nothing could be more boring than Kelly's plan.

With regards to Mr. McGoo's posting. It reminds me of that scenario....a roomful of chimpanzees with typewriters will eventually produce a Shakespeare play.

[Editor's note: we've corrected the typo.] - In one spot but not in the other two - "Shea fined for Edwards hit" and "Shea, who was not suspended..." Editor's note: Thanks, just in the process of fixing.

A $750 fine for Shea Emry; it's a bigger travesty than the 3 year sentence some judge in Calgary handed a drifter for killing a guy who refused to give him his spare change. It should have been at least a 4 game suspension, but it just goes to show how biased for Montreal that Mark Cohon and the rest of the CFL management have become. If this seems unfair I would like to suggest that Winnipeg fans go on the CFL website and send emails to the Director of Officiating that leave him in no doubt what you think of him and the league's decision.

Who writes these thing!?! The Alouette player's name is Shea Emry, not Emry Shea.
And to say "DiMichele had been on the Calgary Stampeders' practice roster this season" is a rather misleading. He was on their practice roster for 2 days according to the transaction page at CFL.ca and Calgary media reports about his signing on Monday. The whole timeline surrounding DiMichele seems really coincidental to me. He was signed by the Stamps on Sept 21, there was a glowing article about him in a Calgary newspaper on Wednesday morning that indicated his fellow Temple alumni Henry Burris had been raving about him for the past couple years, then he was suddenly released by the Stamps with no explanation Wednesday afternoon and immediately signs with the Bombers who then announce that Jabari Arthur is out for the season. Could he be official compensation for Arthur?

Mike Kelly is a bona fide genius. He knows that if he keeps searching, he will one day find a QB that can execute his brilliant, unpredictable, earth-shattering and revolutionary offensive scheme. I trust him completely. It's simply a question of playing the odds. Even though we are now on our tenth QB for the season, I don't care if it takes 60 or 70 or even 100 QB's. I just know that one day, Kelly's genius will finally be proven to all the naysayers and the Big Blue offense will finally score one or maybe even two touchdowns in a game. I can't wait. I love you Mike Kelly. You are my hero!
