Rejected Rider lands on feet with Ticats
HAMILTON, Ont. -- It didn't take long for import defensive back James Patrick to catch on with a new CFL team.
The former all-star signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Friday, a few days after being released by the Saskatchewan Roughriders. The 5-11, 188-pound native of Tuskegee, Ala., recorded 227 defensive tackles, 18 interceptions and five fumble recoveries over five seasons with Saskatchewan.
"James is a proven player in the CFL and will be a welcome addition to our secondary," Ticats GM Kent Austin said in a release.
