Football herd to face unbeaten Dinos in Calgary

CALGARY -- The Calgary Dinos advanced to next Saturday's Hardy Cup final against Manitoba with a 42-28 win over the UBC Thunderbirds.

Mercer Timmis ran for a pair of two-yard touchdowns in the fourth quarter as the 9-0 Dinos came back from a 24-21 deficit in the third quarter.

Andrew Buckley threw one touchdown pass and ran for another, while Johnny Mark nailed four field goals for Calgary.

The Manitoba Bisons won their Canada West semifinal 37-36 over the Saskatchean Huskies on Friday.

Calgary, which finished the regular season first in Canada West (8-0), will host the conference final.
