There's lots of basketball action on tap this weekend, with 24 tournaments taking place around the province, including the Trojan Classic varsity boys event Friday and Saturday at Vincent Massey.

Boys hockey games tonight include Oak Park vs. Dakota Lancers at Dakota Arena and the St. Paul's Crusaders going against the Vincent Massey Trojans at Varsity View Arena. Both games start at 4:30 p.m.

The MHSAA website is now featuring league standings. For more information and all league and tournament results, visit the MHSAA website at www.mhsaa.ca and www.winnipegfreepress.com/sports/high-school/.

HOCKEY RANKINGS (BOYS)

St. John's-Ravenscourt takes over top spot in the hockey rankings this week. The top three spots have seen lots of movement over the last couple of weeks, with the previously top-ranked St. Paul's Crusaders suffering losses to both Oak Park and Ravenscourt.

The Major Pratt Trojans from Russell remain at the top of the AA ranking, but the team was given a scare by Melita/Waskada, who defeated them at Christmas and as a result move up a couple of spots.
