MHJL names players of the month for January

Forward Brent Wold, 18, of the Portage Terriers, defenceman Lane Werbowski, 20, of the Selkirk Steelers, goaltender Jayson Argue, 18, and forward Colin Baudry, 17, both of the Swan Valley Stampeders, have been named the Manitoba Junior Hockey League players of the month for January.
Wold, a native of Lac du Bonnet, was selected as the RBC player of the month for January after he recorded 20 points (nine goals and 11 assists) in 12 games.
The runners-up were Jesse Sinatynski, 19 of the Dauphin Kings and Argue.
Werbowski of Winnipeg was picked as the Sherwood Hockey defenceman of the month after he displayed solid defensive play and recorded 10 points.
The runners-up were Brenden Kotyk, 20, of the Dauphin Kings and Dylan Heide, 20, of the Selkirk Steelers.
Argue was named the MGEU goaltender of the month after the Swan River native had a 8-1 record and 2.11 GAA and .930 save percentage last month.
The runners-up were Shea Cooper, 20, of the Portage Terriers and Adam Harris, 19, of the Selkirk Steelers.
Baudry, a native of La Broquerie, was chosen as the Husky Energy rookie of the month after he recorded 12 points in 12 games.
The runners-up were goaltender Isaiah Plett, 18, of the Winnipeg Blues and forward Justin Valentino, 18, of the Swan Valley Stampeders.
