Winnipeg's Frazer McLaren stars in AHL fight on YouTube
If you think fighting should be banned in hockey, then we suggest to proceed on to another story on winnipegfreepress.com.
But if you love a good-old fashioned dust-up, then the YouTube video of an American Hockey League fight featuring Winnipegger Frazer McLaren might get your juices flowing.
A seventh-round draft pick, (203rd overall) of the San Jose Sharks, McLaren – who played seven games with the NHL club last year – has spent most of this year in the AHL with the Sharks’ farm club in Worcester.
McLaren and Portland Pirates forward Joel Rechlicz got into a nasty battle in the first period of a game Tuesday night, eventually won 7-2 by the Pirates. Those two clubs have combined for 29 fighting majors in seven games this year and meet again this Sunday in Worcester.
