Mike Hedden scores twice to lead Dallas Stars over Abbotsford Heat 4-3
CEDAR PARK, Texas - Mike Hedden scored twice Wednesday as the Texas Stars defeated the Abbotsford Heat 4-3 in the American Hockey League.
Matt Fraser and William Wrenn had the other goals for Texas (34-16-10), while Justin Dowling and Alex Chiasson added two assists apiece.
Cristopher Nilstorp started for the Stars and gave up two goals on 10 shots before giving way to Jack Campbell, who finished with 17 stops the rest of the way.
Krys Kolanos had a goal and an assist for Abbotsford (28-26-9), while Mike Matczak and Blair Jones also scored. Dustin Sylvester picked up two assists.
Danny Taylor started for the Heat, but gave up three goals on 14 shots before getting pulled early in the second period.
Barry Brust stopped 11-of-12 shots the rest of the way.
