Tomas Jurco leads Grand Rapids Griffins past Hamilton Bulldogs 2-1
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Tomas Jurco scored twice as the Grand Rapids Griffins edged the Hamilton Bulldogs 2-1 on Friday in American Hockey League action.
Jurco opened scoring for Grand Rapids (33-19-4) in the first then had the winner at the 9:12 mark of the third. Petr Mrazek made 30 saves for the win.
Joey Tenute was the lone scorer for Hamilton (23-28-6), while Dustin Tokarski stopped 31 shots in net.
Neither team could score on the power play. The Griffins were 0 for 5 with the man advantage, while the Bulldogs did not score on their one power play.
