WINNIPEG -- Just hours before today's deadline to get 2011 draft picks playing junior signed, the Winnipeg Jets have an agreement with centre/right-winger Austen Brassard for an entry-level contract.

The 20-year-old from Windsor, Ont., was the team's fifth-round pick at the 2011 draft in Minnesota.

He's coming of a year of 14 goals and 33 points for the OHL's Belleville Bulls. His team made it to the Eastern Conference final before losing in seven games to the Barrie Colts. Brassard had 12 more points in the playoffs.

The team's other 2011 draft pick that might be in play today, or go back in the draft, is defenceman Zach Yuen of the Tri-City Americans, a fourth-rounder that year.
