Jets keeping Klingberg for another year

The Winnipeg Jets will have Carl Klingberg back in their prospect pool for another year.

The club announced today it has agreed to terms with the 23-year-old forward on a one year, two-way contract worth $650,000.

The big Swede played in three games with the Jets last year and scored his first career goal in the regular-season finale on April 11th in Calgary.

The Goteborg, Sweden native also appeared in 65 games with the St. John’s IceCaps where he picked up 43 points (22G, 21A), while chipping in eight points in 21 playoff games The right-handed winger, drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the second round (34th overall) in 2009, has appeared in 10 career NHL games, between Atlanta and Winnipeg.
