Jets pick up player put on waivers by Blues
WINNIPEG -- The Winnipeg Jets look to be taking a flyer on a prospect put on waivers this week by the St. Louis Blues.
The NHL team claimed right-winger Anthony Peluso from that waiver wire today.

He's a 23-year-old from North York, Ont., and has not played a single NHL game since being picked in the sixth round of the 2007 draft by St. Louis.
This season with the AHL's Peoria Rivermen, Peluso has scored five goals and 11 points, with 58 penalty minutes, in 36 games.
The Jets apparently like Peluso's size, six-foot-four, 234 pounds, and they'll be bringing him to Winnipeg to join training camp.
