Jets to honour Armed Forces

The Winnipeg Jets have had an association with the Canadian Armed Forces since the very beginning of their rebirth.

And the club will once again honour our service men and women with a Canadian Armed Forces Appreciation game on Saturday, March 8 at MTS Centre when the Ottawa Senators are in town for a 2 p.m. start.

The Jets will show their support by wearing limited edition Canadian Armed Forces themed jerseys for the warmup, with all of the sweaters then auctioned online and the proceeds going to Canadian Armed Forces charities.

Canadian Armed Forces bands will play during the pregame and intermissions in the Atrium space while a second CAF band will accompany Stacey Nattrass on the ice for O Canada.

As well, the club will donate a block of tickets to Canadian Armed Forces members and their families.
