Jets to play Oilers in first two exhibition games
There's no guarantee the games will be played but the Winnipeg Jets have released their exhibition schedule for Season Number 2.
Their tune-up contests prior to the 2012-13 season will include four dates at the MTS Centre.
The Jets begin the pre-season with a Sept. 24 game in Edmonton against the Oilers, then return to Winnipeg for a home game the next night.
They'll follow that with a Sept. 29 game in Saskatoon against the Boston Bruins, also coming home to play against the Bruins the next night.
The Jets visit Minnesota Oct. 2, play the Wild here on Oct. 4 and finish up the exhibition games with a contest against the Ottawa Senators here on Oct. 6.
All home exhibition games are 7 p.m. CT starts.
The status of the games remains cloudy, however, since the NHL's collecitve bargaining agreement with the NHL Players Association expires on Sept. 15.
Here's the list of games and times:
September 24 @ Edmonton Oilers Rexall Place 8:00 p.m.
September 25 Edmonton Oilers MTS Centre 7:00 p.m.
September 29 Boston Bruins Credit Union Centre 8:00 p.m. @ Saskatoon, SK

October 2 @ Minnesota Wild Xcel Energy Center 7:00 p.m.
