Winnipeg Free Press - PRINT EDITION
Jets 4-Capitals 2
Free Press ★★★
★ Evander Kane, Winnipeg: Making the critical plays at critical times. Considerably better in Boston and Washington than in his home debut. Ditto for the whole squad.
★★ Toby Enstrom, Winnipeg: So smooth with the puck and finished with three assists while playing almost 25 minutes.
★★★ Ondrej Pavelec, Winnipeg: Very steady. Good rebound control against a Washington squad with a lot of skill up front.

TRENDING UP:
The Jets power play, which scored on its first opportunity to start the season and then fizzled on its next nine, connected.
TRENDING DOWN:
Washington is 0-2 to start the season and has been lit up for 10 goals. New head coach Adam Oates is in a tough spot trying to implement his philosophy without a real training camp.
UP NEXT:
Time to take a small breath after three games in four days. The Jets chartered home Tuesday night and don't play again until Friday's home date against the Pittsburgh Penguins (7 p.m.; TSN/TSN 1290).

Mr. Helper
Toby Enstrom picked up three assists in the win over the Caps and now has four points -- all helpers -- in three games. He is the Jets' early-season scoring leader.
Spoiling the party
Jets halted a significant streak who had won 10 straight home dating back to 2000. Winnipeg has three straight at Verizon Center, including wins in February and March a year ago.
