Twenty-seven games between shutouts for the Jets. Their last blanking of the opposition came nearly a full year ago, last season's 7-0 decision over Florida on March 1.

"Winning is a lot better than losing." Jets coach Claude Noel after the 1-0 win over the Sens, markedly less troubled than after Thursday's 3-2 home loss to Toronto.
