Fans hammer on goalless Gomez
Canadiens fans cheered every time Scott Gomez touched the puck on Sunday, but it was hardly out of love.
At the end of the game, and with the Jet net empty, the Bell Centre faithful was chanting his name to get head coach Randy Cunneyworth to put him on the ice. Gomez, for the record, has no goals in 23 games this season and hasn't scored since Feb. 5, 2011 . The fans even took to singing him 'Bonne Fete' (Happy Birthday) because it had been a year since his last goal.

Gomez did not speak to the media after the game, but Carey Price stood up for him.
"He's a teammate of mine and I'll stick up for him every day of the week," Price said. "He's going through a hard time, but we've got to support the guy. It doesn't help putting him down.
"He's contributing in other ways... He's a leader in our room and he's a big part of our hockey club."
