Tonight: JETS AT PANTHERS

6:30 p.m. TV: TSN Jets

Radio: TSN 1290

ABOUT THE PANTHERS

-- The Panthers, last season's Southeast Division champs, are off to a miserable start. After winning their opener, they have dropped five in a row, including Tuesday's 5-2 decision at Tampa.

-- With just 10 goals in six games, Florida is the lowest-producing team in the Eastern Conference and tied for the lowest in the NHL.

-- One bit of good news: RW Kris Versteeg returned to action Tuesday after missing his team's first five games because of a lower-body injury; C Stephen Weiss did not play Tuesday and has now missed three games because of a lower-body injury.

-- The Panthers have one of the NHL's best rookies this season in C Jonathan Huberdeau. The third-overall pick of 2011 was Jets C Mark Scheifele's teammate at the recent world junior tournament and has three points in the first six games.

-- After tonight's home game, the Panthers hit the road for four more, including next Tuesday in Winnipeg, giving them seven of the first 11 away from home.
