"Ø"Ø IT'S A BRETHREN:
Blues coach Ken Hitchcock and Jets coach Claude Noel have worked together in two other organizations (Dallas, Columbus) and know each other well. Asked about his friend, Hitchcock said this Tuesday: "I know he's goofy and he's out there but I think he's like any other good coach; he has a way of getting his message across. I think you just look at a guy's record and his history. He's got a really good record. He's had success at every level he's coached and made teams better and I think that's what a good coach is."
"Ø"Ø IT'S A STYLE:
The Jets are learning to play this harder Western Conference game but it's still not showing up much in their division record, now 3-10-2. Winnipeg had 22 blocked shots to St. Louis's 12 on Tuesday, and was more than involved in the hitting, holding a 39-27 edge. The Jets were even keeping up in the faceoff department, something they've found tough, until a late sag left it 57-43 per cent for St. Louis.
"Ø"Ø IT'S DAY-TO-DAY:
Still no sign of left-winger Evander Kane Tuesday, at least on the ice. The left-winger did not skate with the team once again and has now missed four games and 11 days of work with a lower-body injury.
