About the Lightning
Second-year coach Guy Boucher will not get the Lightning to the post-season after guiding them to within a game of a trip to the Stanley Cup final last season when they lost in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference final to the Boston Bruins. Captain Vincent Lecavalier has missed 19 games with an upper-body injury. Defenceman Mattias Ohlund has missed the entire season with a knee injury and that's been a big factor for the 35-35-7 club. Steven Stamkos leads all NHL scorers with 55 goals. Veteran Martin St. Louis has 24 goals and 46 assists while Teddy Purcell has 20 goals and 40 assists.
