Jets' Enstrom might be suiting up in Sweden soon
RUMOURS are hot in Sweden that Winnipeg Jets defenceman Toby Enstrom may be returning to his home country to play.
Enstrom, who left the Salzburg Red Bull in Austria a few weeks ago, is either practising with Orebro Vipers, or is about to start, according to the Swedish website mrmadhawk.se.
The site's proprietor said that Enstrom had already been practising with the team, which includes his brother, forward Thomas Enstrom.
But a later post said the team has denied it, but said he will start practising soon.
Enstrom signed a five-year contract extension with the Jets over the summer, which will take him through the 2017-18 season. His new cap hit, which kicks in after the current season, will be $5.75 million.
It's unlikely he'll be making that if he does join Orebro, which is a Swedish second-division club.
