★ Jonathan Toews, centre, Hawks: The hometown hero was a force all over the ice, scoring a highlight-of-thenight goal and setting up three others.

★★ Andrew Ladd, leftwinger, Jets: One of a handful of Jets who was solid. Finished with a goal and an assist, had six shots on goal and three hits.

★★★ Marian Hossa, forward, Hawks: Goal, assist, plus-3. Just imagine what this former Thrasher would look like if he was still with this franchise?

Chicago's Patrick Kane extended his point streak to nine games, collecting 12 points (5G, 7A) during that span.

UP NEXT:

The Jets are home for a Saturday afternoon matinee against the Minnesota Wild at 2 p.m. (TSN Jets, TSN 1290).
