Winnipeg Free Press - PRINT EDITION

Tonight: Jets at Islanders

About the Jets

The Jets have won two of three games on this road trip with Andrew Ladd scoring in OT to beat the Carolina Hurricanes and then again in OT to down the Florida Panthers. Winnipeg has collected five of a possible six points on the trip with the one loss coming to the Tampa Bay Lightning, also in overtime. Evander Kane leads the team with a career-high 30 goals and Ladd now has 27 on the season.

About the Isles

The Islanders are 33-36-11 and have a sub-.500 record at home, going 16-18-6 to date. New York has lost three straight and is 5-5-0 over their last 10. The Isles have won two of the three meetings with the Jets so far this year. John Tavares leads the Islanders with 79 points off 31 goals and 48 assists. Matt Moulson is the team's top goal getter with 35. Manitoban Travis Hamonic has had a solid season on the blue-line for the Islanders and is a fearsome hitter.
