"Ø"Ø ABOUT THE PREDS

Nashville comes to town for the first time in the regular season in the Jets 2.0 era. The teams, now in the same division, had one meeting, in Nashville, in the 2011-12 season.

The Preds follow the Blues into town having played the night before. They are in Montreal tonight before flying to Winnipeg for Sunday's game.

In their first seven games, the Preds are 3-3-1 after opening with two road losses.

The early going has been like many pundits called it -- Nashville struggles with offence and needs plenty of scoring by committee. The team had 14 goals in the first seven games and Mike Fisher and Patric Hornqvist lead the chart with two apiece.

The team sports two of the most highly touted rookies in the NHL in D Seth Jones, the fourth overall pick last June, and C Filip Forsberg, the 11th overall pick of 2012, who was acquired earlier this year in a trade with Washington.
