About the Jets
Playing their second game in as many nights after Thursday's contest in Tampa -- and we all know how the Jets have managed in the second half of those doubleheaders: 0-8 this season... Including this back-to-back, the Jets still face five more two-games-in-two-nights scenarios... The Jets are in the midst of a stretch of 11 games that has them playing nine road tilts. If they can tread water until Feb. 17 they can get comfy at home with eight in a row at the MTS Centre... The Jets are 1-1-1 in three games against Florida this season.
About the Panthers
Sit atop the Southeast Division, one point ahead of the Washington Capitals, with a 23-15-11 record... Coming off a 4-2 win over the Caps on Wednesday in which Mikael Samuelsson had two goals, one which came from a dump-in from centre ice that eluded Michal Neuvirth... After being held off the scoresheet in the first meeting between the two clubs this season, Kris Versteeg has owned the Jets with five goals and two assists... Panthers' Jason Garrison leads all NHL defencemen with 13 goals.
