It's not the kind of signing that will have fans rushing to the ticket wicket, but the Winnipeg Jets did add some depth to their blueline on Friday.
The Jets announced Friday they have agreed to terms with defenceman Julien Brouillette on a one-year, two-way contract worth $600,000.
The 27-year-old product of St. Espirit, Que., played in 10 games with the Washington Capitals last season and recorded two points (1G, 1A). He also appeared in 51 AHL games with the Hershey Bears (10G, 10A). Brouillette's first NHL game actually came against the Jets last season when he helped lead the Caps to a 4-2 win of Feb. 6.
Brouillette has played in 260 AHL games with Providence, Hartford, Charlotte, Lake Erie, and Hershey, (22G, 48A).
