-- Come into the game off Tuesday's 3-1 loss in Buffalo, a defeat that left the Rangers tied with the Jets in points, 28, in the Eastern Conference standings.

-- The Rangers' run of five wins in six, prior to the loss in Buffalo, followed New York's 4-3 to the Jets, Feb. 26 at Madison Square Garden in the teams' first meeting of the season.

-- Ranked just 23rd on the NHL's power-play list, the Rangers do have six power-play goals in their last seven games. The team's penalty-killing, with five perfect outings in the past seven games, is No. 7 in the NHL.

-- From the individual player charts, winger Rick Nash leads the team with nine goals and 23 points... Centre Brad Richards needs three points to reach 800 in his NHL career.
