Tonight: Leafs at Jets

ABOUT THE LEAFS

  • Toronto's off-season trade with Philly is looking rather good at the moment. James van Riemsdyk had his fifth and sixth goals of the season in a 3-2 win at Washington on Tuesday.
  • The Leafs road trip this week is a great example of how Winnipeg's presence in the Eastern Conference is not just poor for the Jets. Toronto played in Washington, is here tonight and then goes to Montreal for Saturday.
  •  It's been three games in a row with zeroes on the Toronto power play. In fact, both Leafs special teams rank in the NHL's bottom five (PP 27th, PK 26th) as of Wednesday.
  • G Ben Scrivens was the winner on Tuesday over the Caps but James Reimer of Morweena has started six of the first 10 games.
