Enstrom may return to Jets lineup Saturday
New hand Miettinen not ready for Caps
WINNIPEG - Sources with the Winnipeg Jets say injured defenceman Tobias Enstrom (collarbone) will be in the lineup Saturday night.
Enstrom has been out since taking a hard hit Halloween night against Florida.
It will be a night of returns, as former Jet Teemu Selanne will be on the ice at MTS Centre Saturday with the Anaheim Ducks.
Meanwhile, the Winnipeg Jets' fluctuating roster continued to do just that on Wednesday, ahead of the Jets' game against the Washington Capitals.
Right-winger Antti Miettinen, claimed on waivers Tuesday, was expected to arrive in Winnipeg late in the day.
Coach Claude Noel said Miettinen is unlikely to play tonight against the Caps and will need some practice time after being out of game action for about two weeks.
Others likely out tonight include winger Alexander Burmistrov, battling an undisclosed injury, defenceman Randy Jones, who came up "lame" prior to game time on Tuesday, and defenceman Tobias Enstrom, who has been cleared for full practice but still needs some time and work in his recovery from a broken collarbone.
Right-winger Eric Fehr, something of a surprise addition on Tuesday, could play tonight. He was pressed into service Tuesday when the team was short of forwards, but still isn't all the way to 100 per cent.
Centre Nik Antropov, who has missed five of the last six games with an aggravated undisclosed injury, is looking like a better bet to play tonight.
Also Wednesday, the Jets assigned defenceman Arturs Kulda to the AHL's St. John's IceCaps after he cleared waivers, and they placed forward Jason Jaffray on waivers, though the team said it's possible Jaffray won't go to St. John's if he clears.
QUOTABLE: "I screamed pretty loud. I screamed so loud I almost got light-headed." -- Bogosian after scoring his first goal of the season against the Minnesota Wild Tuesday night.
