JETS 3 RANGERS 1
Free Press ★★★
★ Dustin Byfuglien, defenceman, Jets: The Big Man was all over the ice Thursday, setting up two Jets goals with smart point blasts and being a physical force.
★★ Ondrej Pavelec, goalie, Jets: The Jets did a solid job clearing second and third chances, but Pavelec was there to make the first stop and kicked out 28 of 29 shots for the win.
★★★ Ryan Callahan, forward, Rangers: The Blueshirts’ captain scored his squad’s only game and, as always, played with a fire in his belly.
