★ Jakub Voracek, RW, Flyers: Set up two of Philly’s goals and was a threat just about every time he stepped on the ice. A quietly efficient game.
★★ Andrew Ladd, LW, Jets: Two goals for the Jets captain, who now has six this season. Both as a result of solid passes — the first from Blake Wheeler, the second from Evander Kane — and his quick hands.
★★★ Ilya Bryzgalov, G, Flyers: Jet fans serenaded him all night, but he was steady in kicking out 24 of 16 shots.
1. Philadelphia, B.Schenn 3 (Voracek, Coburn) 8:07
2. Winnipeg, Ladd 5 (Wheeler) 14:12
3. Philadelphia, Timonen 2 (Giroux, Simmonds) 17:08 (pp)
Penalties -- Peluso Wpg (holding) 3:42, Foster Pha (interference) 11:56, Redmond Wpg (cross-checking) 16:15.
Penalties -- McGinn Pha (fighting, major), Stuart Wpg (fighting, major) 5:17, Peluso Wpg (charging) 12:51.
4. Philadelphia, McGinn 3 (Voracek) 4:17
5. Winnipeg, Ladd 6 (Kane, Wheeler) 19:13
Penalties -- Stuart Wpg (interference) 6:25, Talbot Pha (holding) 9:31, B.Schenn Pha (tripping) 13:06.
Referees -- Brian Pochmara, Kyle Rehman. Linesmen -- Ryan Galloway, Steve Miller.
Attendance -- 15,004 (15,004).
The win for the Flyers stopped a streak of four straight defeats on the road. Philly's last victory away from home, before Tuesday night, came in a 7-1 decision over Florida on Jan. 26.
The Jets entered the game with the most points in the NHL from their defensive corps, but their six-man crew was held off the scoresheet Tuesday.
The Jets play host to the Pittsburgh Penguins Friday night, 6 p.m., CBC/TSN 1290
