WINNIPEG JETS
Record: 24 – 21 – 3
Winnipeg Free Press - PRINT EDITION
Today: Jets at Senators, 1 p.m.
ABOUT THE SENS
- Ottawa is 4-0-2 at home, but coming off a 3-2 OT loss to Carolina on Thursday in which they were stoned by Hurricanes' netminder Cam Ward, who made 45 saves.
- Sens' netminder Craig Anderson, named the NHL's first star for the month of January, has a 6-2-2 record, a 1.49 goals-against average and .950 save percentage. By comparison, Winnipeg's Ondrej Pavelec is 3-5-1 with a 3.28 GAA and .885 save percentage.
- With Jason Spezza out after back surgery, the Sens are led in scoring by Kyle Turris, who has four goals and six assists in 11 games.
- This could be a bad combo: heading into Friday's action, the Sens had the NHL's 7th-best power-play while the Jets continue to have the league's worst penalty-killing unit.
- Daniel Alfredsson is the longest-serving captain in the NHL, with this season marking his 13th consecutive wearing the 'C.'
