Tonight: Jets @ Ducks

ABOUT THE DUCKS

-- Anaheim has put up mind-boggling numbers this season. Not only do they boast the best record in the NHL at 37-9-5, they're also unbeaten in regulation time at home, where they're 20-0-2 at the Honda Centre. With points in all of their first 22 home games this season, the Ducks join just three other NHL teams in the past 40 years in that regard -- Philly (19-0-7, 1979-80), NYI (19-0-4, 1978-79) and San Jose (20-0-2, 2008-09).

-- Yes, you're saying, but what have the Ducks done lately? Actually it just gets worse if you're a Jets fan tonight -- the Ducks are in a 19-2-0 run in their last 21 games, which includes a 10-0-0 run at home.

-- Yes, you're saying, but what if the Jets score first tonight? Doesn't matter -- the Ducks are a league-best 15-6-1 when their opponent scores first. That's a .682 winning percentage when they're down 1-0. To put that in context, no other team in the NHL is above .500 when yielding the first goal.

-- This will be the first visit to Anaheim for the Jets 2.0. The Jets will also make their first visit to San Jose this week when they play the Sharks on Thursday. Once this week is over, Los Angeles will be the only remaining NHL city the reincarnated Jets have yet to visit.
