Tonight: Jets @ Maple Leafs
ABOUT THE LEAFS
Dropped a 3-1 decision to Pittsburgh at home on Thursday night, a fourth straight loss that's the worst run of the season for Toronto. Tuesday, the Leafs were 5-2 losers in Winnipeg and they now hold just a one-point advantage over Winnipeg in the Eastern Conference standings.
Tonight marks the third and final meeting between the teams this season. The first two were played at the MTS Centre; each side has won a game.
Despite the skid, Leafs winger Phil Kessel continues to be a leader on his team. Kessel has six points in the last three games, including two Tuesday goals against the Jets, and has 26 points on the season.
Toronto activated winger Joffrey Lupul on Friday. He has missed all but three games this season with a broken bone in his arm. To make room on the roster for Lupul, the Leafs dealt forward David Steckel to Anaheim for a seventh-round pick in 2014 and prospect Ryan Lasch.
