ABOUT THE KINGS

  • Centre Anze Kopitar has led L.A. in scoring for six straight seasons; the only other King to lead team in scoring six straight years was Marcel Dionne (1975-76 through 1982-83).
  • Jeff Carter led the Kings with 26 goals last year, with eight of them game winners. Dionne and Charlie Simmer hold the club record with nine.
  • The Kings' .615 winning percentage last year was the 5th best in club history and their .813 winning percentage at home was a club record.
  • The Kings play just two of their first eight regular-season games at home and opened their 2013-14 campaign Thursday night in Minnesota.
  • L.A. was 21-3-2 (.808) when scoring first last season, third-best in the NHL behind Chicago (.897) and New York Rangers (.857).
