ABOUT THE KINGS

The Kings made one move at the trade deadline: sending Matt Frattin, a second-round pick and a conditional third-round pick to Columbus for Marian Gaborik. Now 32, Gaborik has had seven seasons in which he posted 30 goals or more, including three 40-plus goal campaigns. He'll help boost an attack that is averaging 2.32 goals per game, 27th in the NHL and their power play, ranked just 26th overall.

Los Angeles rolls into Winnipeg on a five-game win streak, that coming after a four-game losing skid was snapped just before the Olympic break.

Drew Doughty, who was so dominant for Canada at the Olympics, is well down on the NHL's defence scoring leaders with 22 blue-liners having registered more points than his 31 (8G, 23A).

Kings netminder Jonathan Quick is again among the NHL's goals-against-average leaders, with a stingy 2.05 and a save percentage of .916. Los Angeles has the lowest GAA in the NHL at 2.03.

Anze Kopitar leads the Kings in scoring with 52 points (19G, 33A) with six of his goals game-winners.
