Blades' Walker records nine points in four games

Brenden Walker of Ste. Anne, a forward with the Saskatoon Blades, recorded nine points in four games and has been named the Denny's Western Hockey League player of the week.

Walker, 20, scored four goals and added five assists along with a plus-6 rating in four straight Saskatoon wins last week. The Blades, fourth in the WHL's Eastern Conference, have won eight straight games.

A fourth-year WHL player, Walker was traded to the Saskatoon Blades last spring after three seasons with the Brandon Wheat Kings.

Walker is fourth in Blades' team scoring with 20 goals and 31 assists for 51 points in 55 games.
