Pachet, Burak, Edmonds mnamed AAA MHL players of the week
Shawn Pachet of the Winnipeg Wild, Pembina Valley Hawks captain Reid Burak and Winnipeg Wild goalie Ty Edmonds have been named the players of the month for February in the Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League. The regular season ended on Feb. 12 with the Wild placing first overall with 41 wins in 44 games.
Pachet, 16, was chosen as the WHL offensive player after he scored seven goals and added six assists for 13 points in the Wild’s six games this month. The honourable mention went to Brandon Switzer of the Brandon Wheat Kings.
Burak, 17, was selected as the Meyers Norris Penny defensive player. He has had a plus rating all season and led the Hawks in ice time in February.
Edmonds, 15, was named the Century 21 goaltender of the month after he allowed only two goals in three games with a .67 goals against average and a save percentage of .974.
