Schubert leads Avros to championship title, named player of the week

Goaltender Amanda Schubert of the Winnipeg Avros led the Avros to the championship title at the Westman Wildcats Spring Classic tournament in Brandon last weekend and has been named the Selkirk Keystone Source for Sports-Reebok player of the week in the Manitoba Female (AAA) Midget Hockey League.
Schubert, a grade 12 student at Garden City Collegiate, recorded three straight shut out wins making a total of 84 saves.
In MFMHL play, Schubert has an 11-3 record with a .927 save percentage and a 1.80 goals against average.
