Abraham caps three-point night with OT winner
ERIE, Pa. - Spencer Abraham capped off his three-point night with a goal 31 seconds into overtime as the Erie Otters edged the visiting Windsor Spitfires 5-4 on Saturday in Ontario Hockey League action.
Abraham also had a goal and an assist in regulation to earn the game's first star.
Dane Fox had two goals and an assist for the Otters (18-37-8), who ended a six-game winless streak, while J.P. Labardo chipped in with two assists.
Connor Crisp rounded out Erie's offence with a single goal.
Alexander Khokhlachev scored twice for the Spitfires (24-30-8), who remain eight points behind the Saginaw Spirit for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference, and Josh Ho-Sang and Alex Aleardi each scored once.
Oscar Dansk turned away 21 shots for the win as Jordan DeKort made 24 saves in defeat.
Erie failed to score on three power-play opportunities while Windsor went 1 for 4 with the man advantage.
