Andreas Athanasiou leads Barrie Colts over Owen Sound Attack 4-2
BARRIE, Ont. - Andreas Athanasiou had a goal and an assist Thursday as the Barrie Colts defeated the Owen Sound Attack 4-2 in the Ontario Hockey League.
Devon Rymarchuk, Ryan O'Connor and Anthony Camara also scored for Barrie (38-19-4), which pulled within four points of idle Belleville for first place in the Eastern Conference.
Zach Hall picked up a pair of assists. Camara's goal extended his point streak to six games.
Zach Nastasiuk scored twice for Owen Sound (38-18-4), which had its five-game winning streak snapped.
Both teams finished the night 1-for-4 on the power play.
Mathias Niederberger made 22 saves in the win, while Jordan Binnington turned aside 23 shots in defeat.
