Catenacci scores twice as Attack blank Spitfires 6-0; Binnington makes 28 saves

WINDSOR, Ont. - Daniel Catenacci scored twice as the Owen Sound Attack blanked the Windsor Spitfires 6-0 on Thursday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Jordan Binnington made 28 saves to pick up his 31st win of the season for the Attack (42-18-6), setting a new single-season victories record for the Owen Sound franchise. The shutout was Binnington's seventh of the campaign.

Cody Ceci, Cameron Brace, Daniel Zweep and Artur Gavrus had the other goals for the Attack, who swept the four-game season series with the Spitfires (26-32-8).

Catenacci and Brace both finished the game with plus-4 ratings.

Windsor starting goalie Jordan Dekort made 18 saves before being pulled just over five minutes into the second period. He was replaced by Jaroslav Pavelka who made 22 saves including a third period penalty shot by Gemel Smith.

Catenacci scored his second goal of the game and 38th of the season on a short-handed, unassisted effort in the second period when he scooped up a loose puck just outside the Owen Sound blue-line and raced in all alone before rifling a wrist shot over the blocker of Pavelka.

Binngton's shutout was his third of the season against the Spitfires. The St. Louis Blues prospect did not allow a goal against Windsor in 189 consecutive minutes this season.
