Cheek scores twice as Oil Kings extend win streak to six games
MOOSE JAW, Sask. - Trevor Cheek scored twice as the Edmonton Oil Kings downed the host Moose Jaw Warriors 4-1 on Saturday in Western Hockey League action.
Michael St. Croix had a goal and an assist for the Oil Kings (49-15-5), who extended their win streak to six games, while Dylan Wruck and Henrik Samuelsson each had two assists.
Curtis Lazar scored once to round out Edmonton's offence.
Brayden Point scored the lone goal for the Warriors (23-36-10), who have dropped back-to-back contests.
Tristan Jarry stopped 27-of-28 shots for the win as Justin Paulic made 23 saves in defeat.
Edmonton went 1 for 2 on the power play while Moose Jaw failed to score on four chances with the man advantage.
