Colby Cave scores twice in second period as Broncos beat Raiders 6-3
SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. - Colby Cave scored two goals 1:53 apart in the second period as the Swift Current Broncos defeated the visiting Prince Albert Raiders 6-3 on Tuesday in the WHL.
Levi Bews also scored twice for Swift Current, including an empty-net goal, and added two assists. Graham Black and Coda Gordon added singles for the Broncos, who remains in seventh in the Eastern Conference with a 32-28-7 record.
Jayden Hart, Mike Winther and Dylan Busenius all replied for Prince Albert, which lost its second straight game and dropped to 35-25-6.
Eetu Laurikainen made 33 saves on 36 shots for Swift Current.
Luke Siemens made the start for Prince Albert and allowed three goals on 13 shots in only 21:27. Andy Desautels came on early in the second period and made 15 saves on 17 shots and was tagged with the loss.
